Every dog deserves to feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home, and that is exactly what we strive for every single day.
My Story
My name is Makena Tamm, and I am the proud owner and operator of Kenna’s Kennels & Cuts. I have had the honor of running KKC for nearly four years, and caring for animals is not just my job. It is truly my passion. I treat every dog that comes through my doors as if they were my own, because that is how I would want my pets cared for.
My husband and I share our home with three dogs, Connie, Frankie, and Lucy, along with two cats, Sandy and Toni. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals of all kinds, and they have always been my best friends. That lifelong love for animals carries into everything I do here at KKC.
I am also a former vet tech, which gives me a strong background in dog health, behavior, and comfort. At KKC, pups enjoy a cozy indoor play space filled with couches, blankets, and toys, as well as an outdoor turf play area with playground equipment for safe, supervised fun.
When I am not caring for dogs, I love crafting, baking with sourdough, thrift shopping for vintage treasures, spending time with family, and keeping old traditions alive. Some of my favorite moments are spent watching Disney VHS tapes and playing board games together.
